# Change or update a director’s details

## How to update or amend director details with Companies House

If a director’s details change, you must report the update to Companies House. Most changes can be filed online using the Companies House WebFiling service.

### Change of Personal Details

Most director changes can be submitted online via your [GOV.UK One](https://signin.account.gov.uk/sign-in-or-create) account. This includes changes of:

- Director name
- Occupation
- Residential address (not shown on the public record)
- Service address (shown on the public record)
- Nationality
- Country of residence

### How to file a change

1. Create or sign in to your [GOV.UK One](https://signin.account.gov.uk/sign-in-or-create) account
2. Enter your company number and authentication code when prompted
3. On the company overview page, scroll to the “People” section
4. Under “Directors and Secretaries,” select **Edit** next to the relevant officer
5. Make the required changes and save the update
